The City of Mission Hills is located in Northeast Johnson County, Kansas just minutes from the Country Club Plaza in Kansas City. Mission Hills was developed in 1912 by J.C. Nichols who developed Kansas City’s iconic Country Club Plaza district.
J.C. Nichols planned for the Mission Hills to be a garden community, so residents would not have to leave the city to escape the city. The original plan for Mission Hills remains true, over 100 years later. This elegant community contains wooded hills with sparkling streams and beautiful tree-lined streets.
The City of Mission Hills is known as one of the top suburbs in the United States and residents of this area have a strong and welcoming community.
